OVERVIEW
The creation of a custom platform for the event attendees meant an additional opportunity to engage with attendees and share resources pre-event. Registration was used as an opportunity to ask attendees for input into the content of specific sessions. Post event feedback was also incredibly valuable when assessing the impact of the event.
The agenda was designed around key business updates taking place on set days with a variety of sessions from external speakers interspersed with interactive workshops. Social activities were organised locally with a Jazz improvisation evening, guided walk and group bowling activity among the highlights.
We identified two areas of the event that would result in the most carbon emissions — transport and catering and tracked these using a measurement tool (Trace). Post-event our report detailed the carbon footprint across the three days and a figure was calculated for offsetting.
